The Polaris RUBY 694 Q-Switched Laser
The Smart Investment for Your Salon
Polaris’ Q-Switched Ruby Laser is a great option for salon owners looking to offer tattoo removals. It is effective, reliable, cost effective and offers a great return on your investment as well as being very easy to use for both tattoo and pigmented lesion removal thanks to its high power, adjustable spot sizes, easy to use counterbalanced articulated arm and accurate beam delivery wand.
By releasing short but powerful acoustic pulses along with the laser light, it breaks down tattoo inks and skin pigmentation into small particles that the body can dispose of naturally, the light from the laser is absorbed by the pigment in the tattoo but not the surrounding skin and this combination of light absorption and acoustic shock helps to break down the ink into these smaller particles that the body can then remove.
Polaris Q-switched ruby 694 laser emits monochromatic light at the wavelength of 694 nm and thanks to its acoustic properties, its laser light is absorbed only by the pigments in the tattoo and not by the skin minimising the potential for skin damage. Many tattoos can often be removed within 3-6 sessions but professional tattoos may require up to 20 sessions, the Polaris 694 ruby-laser can effectively remove black, dark blue, or green colours but multi-colour tattoos may require the combination of different laser systems such as the Polaris QS-YAG laser which offers high power at both 1064nm and 532nm for the successful and safe treatment of both tattoos and skin pigmentation.
Q-Switched lasers are also ideal for treatments to improve the appearance of onychomycosis, age spots, sunspots, birthmarks, freckles, and moles. benign pigment lesions. In the most cases solar lentigines (‘age spots’) or flat, pigmented Seborrhoeic keratosis can be removed within a single session.
